He began writing through poetry, shaping early collections that explored love, intimacy, memory, and becoming.

But Dumo doesn’t stay in one lane.

His creative practice widened into storytelling across mediums, leading to the founding of Dumo Xaba Studios—a multimedia company focused on cinematic storytelling through high-end photography and premium video production.

Today, his writing lives primarily in crime fiction and legal thrillers—stories that interrogate power, justice, consequence, and the cost of truth. His novels exist within a shared world, where characters recur, collide, and evolve, and where no action is ever isolated.

Beyond the page, Dumo is a keynote speaker, facilitator, and mentor. His work with emerging writers and creatives is grounded, practical, and experience-driven—focused on building work that lasts.
